FAQ

How do I know how many minutes I will get to talk?
The rate per minute and prepaid phone card fees determine your total talk time. To calculate total talk time take the dollar amount of the card less any connection, maintenance or admin fees (these are listed in the 'fine print' on the Phone Card Depot card details). Take this figure and divide it by the rate-per-minute to your calling destination.
Search the Phone Card Depot:
Why are the results not in order? We list "No Fee" cards above "Fee" cards even if the per-minute rate is higher. This is because cards with fees sometimes have very low per-minute rates, even though the fees cost you a lot. What if the card I'm looking for doesn't show up in the search? You can suggest a prepaid phone card to us using our customer service link (above). If you feel that we made a mistake, and that a card that we carry services more destinations than are listed, please e-mail us.
What is a "Local Access Number"?
This is a local telephone number, such as 1-416-244-4444, which is used as an access number for certain prepaid phone cards. Local Access Numbers are used to reduce network costs and provide better pricing for consumers. Many of Phone Card Depot's calling cards have local access numbers.
How long does it take to receive my order?
Repeat customers of Phone Card Depot will receive their phone cards immediately after making a purchase. Verification is only required on the first purchase from a free e-mail account (such as Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo Mail. As an existing customer you can also look your order up as soon as the order is made in the Order History menu of the account. If you are a first-time customer and are using any paid e-mail account such as rogers, bell or your company e-mail address, your order will also arrive instantly. However, free e-mail accounts, will be put on hold until we validate the address. Order validation typically takes 2 hours if the order is placed during business hours.
Will you mail me the actual card?
No, Phone Card Depot calling cards are distributed via e-mail. This enables us to deliver your calling card immediately after making a purchase from us. The e-mail will include all information on the calling card including PIN, access numbers and technical support contacts.
I lost my PIN for my prepaid phone card. How can I retrieve it?
To retrieve lost PINs, log into your account and click "Order History" at the top and find the transaction you are seeking. Click the 'details' link for that purchase. Your PIN will be displayed.
I have lost or forgotten my password, how can I retrieve it?
Retrieving a lost or forgotten password is easy. Just log in as a registered customer on the Phone Card Depot homepage, enter your e-mail address in the log in box located on the lower-left side of the screen and click the forgot password link. Your password will be e-mailed to you immediately.
I'd like to recharge my phonecard and would like to know how to do it online?
Some Phone Card Depot cards are rechargeable (such as Aveo). You can only recharge products of this type. If a product is rechargeable you will see "Recharge" as an alternative to "Add to Cart". Recharges are only permitted on cards that you have already purchased. If you prefer to use only one PIN number, Phone Card Depot suggests a rechargeable card. Once a recharge is ordered, your new balance will be available in 24 hours.
